Linda Falls Trail Guide
Linda Falls Trail (Bedford Reservation)

Linda Falls Trail is a 1.75-mile out-and-back hike within the Bedford Reservation. It is an easy hike with only 39 feet of elevation gain. It should be noted that if you want to get a better view of the waterfall, you will need to climb down a steep and slippery hill, no matter the time of year.
You start your hike by parking at the Alexander Road Trailhead parking lot off Alexander Road. The parking lot is open from 6:00 AM to 9:30 PM, and the best times to view the waterfalls are during sunrise and sunset.
After departing your car, you will walk on the paved path south past the Summit Metroparks sign. You will continue walking for about 1000 feet before you come across the Buckeye Trail on the right-hand side, which will take you to Linda Falls.

You will take the Buckeye Trail for approximately 2/3 mile. During this hike, you will be on a single path, dirt trail, for your entire journey. You’ll notice the trail weaves you in and out of a beautiful oak and maple forest that is picture-perfect in fall. If you want to take your time or need a break, there are several benches to sit on. If you want to further explore the trail, you’ll notice several rock formations slightly below that you can visit.
As you make your way through the first section of the forest, you’ll notice for a quick minute that the trail opens up, where you’ll gain great views of Sagamore Creek to your right that carves its way through the hillside.

You’ll then enter the forest again, where you’ll continue your winding journey. You’ll notice more unique trees, plants, and even some fauna. Before you know it, the trail opens up again to large fields, and you’ll realize how close you are to civilization.
The trail then enters the forest again, and for the rest of your hike, you’ll see the creek and canyon to your right before approaching the waterfall.
Once you reach Linda Falls, you’ll notice there are several different vantage points from above that you can view the waterfalls and even get some pictures. If you want the best views, pictures, and experience, you’ll have to climb down a steep hill that is not marked and is slippery. It should be noted that this can be dangerous and you should attempt it with caution, understanding the potential dangers of falling, and knowing your own ability of whether or not you can climb back up.

Once you relax, take in the views, and snap a few photos, you will head back the same way you came, while you wonder how such an amazing natural wonder came to be.
