Brookside Reservation Cherry Blossom Guide
Brookside Reservation Cherry Blossoms

Brookside Reservation is one of the premier places in Ohio to witness cherry blossom blooms. Planted in 1990 as a gift to Cleveland citizens from the Japanese Association of Northeast Ohio, visitors can see over 100 Yoshino Cherry Trees along what is now called “Blossom Lane,” easily on foot or by car.
It is open to all visitors and is free. However, this also means you should expect large crowds during peak bloom, especially on the weekend. There are plenty of parking spaces by the cherry blossom trees. If it is full, you can drive just another half mile and find additional parking in the Cherry Grove picnic area.

Finally, cherry blossom blooms vary depending on the year and the climate. Typically, you can expect them to bloom anytime between mid-March and mid-April, and they will last for several weeks, depending on temperature and frost. Based on the recent publicity on local news stations and social media, it will be hard to miss it. But if you want to experience true peak colors, I recommend following the local weather station and Brookside Reservation’s Facebook page.
