Egbert Picnic Area Guide
Egbert Picnic Area
Egbert Picnic Area is one of the most well-known and popular picnic areas in the Bedford Reservation and is extremely popular in the spring and summer months. It is one of the largest picnic areas in the park, holding almost 15 picnic tables, making it perfect for family gatherings, birthday parties, summer camps, trail races, and so much more.

In addition to an ample enclosed shelter space that can hold 40 individuals, there are also another 10 outdoor picnic areas, providing ample space for more than one party. Over a dozen charcoal grills (not wood-burning) can be used to cook food, a water fountain, and a bike station that provides free air and tools for any of your needs. Within 100 feet of the picnic area are two unisex restrooms.

Families and kids will also love the vast open field space, perfect for baseball, football, and any other game. There is also a tiny swingset that can entertain two children at a time. In addition, there is a well-maintained fire pit and plenty of wooded areas to explore. It is next to an all-purpose trail and is a starting point for several hiking trails.
