Expert Tip
The first time I attended the Akron Sakura Festival, I thought there would be a few hundred people with little to no crowd, but I was wrong. This is not only an amazing way to experience the Towpath Cherry Blossoms in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, but a great cultural experience that can be enjoyed by everyone.
Because of this, timing is everything. Unless there is a specific part of the event you want to experience, you should arrive as soon as the festival begins or about 2 hours before it ends. You will not only be able to enjoy everything the festival has to offer, but with no crowd.
And as a bonus, you should start at the southern-most section and make your way to each event point along the way. This will save you time and gas, and let you enjoy all the different types of Cherry Blossoms.
